Dear Minister Hogan In our previous communiqués to your predecessor in September 2009 and December 2010, we called for the development of a new public procurement policy with strongly weighted environmental sustainability criteria. We set out that a Green Public Procurement (GPP) policy would be a key element in driving Ireland’s potential as a competitive, low carbon economy and cautioned that GPP was of strategic importance, requiring joined up and integrated thinking.
